Ducati, Jorge Lorenzo’s admission about Gigi Dall’Igna
Ducati, Jorge Lorenzo comes clean about Gigi Dall’Igna
Jorge Lorenzo gave an interesting interview to MotoGP.com, in which he also recounted his move to Ducati, revealing that he never had any doubts about Gigi Dall’Igna: “I made a very risky bet at the time, moving from Yamaha – with which I was winning a lot and which historically has always been one of the best teams in the World along with Honda – to Ducati, which had only won in 2007 with Stoner. I knew, though, that Gigi Dall’Igna would succeed, and that’s why I made this bet. Dall’Igna has always crowned his dreams, bringing to fruition every goal and everything he started and he did the same with Ducati. I more or less knew it was going to happen and it’s a great pity that it didn’t happen when I was there. Sometimes that’s the way things go.”
“I think in general Ducati has done a great job in the last five to seven years, making the bike one of the best on the grid. They have a lot of bikes, different teams, and a lot of very talented young riders. Eight competitors who can get on the podium, get pole positions and win races, and that makes it very difficult for other manufacturers to fight with them,” Lorenzo added.
