F1, Ferrari: Charles Leclerc confident, but there is still ‘work to be done’
After giving Ferrari its first podium in Baku, Charles Leclerc spoke in the usual press conference in the run-up to the Miami Grand Prix: “Yes the weekend in Baku was good, nice podium after 3 bad races, the bad luck in Bahrain, the penalty in Jeddah and the retirement in Australia, worse than that I could not have started. Baku on the other hand showed the strength of our car, on the single lap we can play it.”
“In Azerbaijan the weaknesses we saw at the beginning of the season were confirmed, we have to work on the race pace because that’s where Red Bull is much stronger,” Leclerc admitted. “However, I think the updates we brought will push us in the right direction. I don’t know if it will help to get closer to them, but I know they will go in the right direction.”
