Genoa, Ascoli wants to spoil the party
Ascoli wants to spoil Genoa’s party
Roberto Breda spoke to Ascoli’s official channels ahead of the match against Genoa, which could be worth promotion for the Grifone. However, the bianconeri coach is not sure about this idea: “There are so many examples of postponed parties, the latest being Napoli’s after the game with Salernitana. These are things that make it clear that you always have to play the game. On Saturday we want to play a great match knowing what the difficulties are and that we are playing for something that until recently was unimaginable.”
“Genoa is a very good team, together with Cagliari they have the strongest squad and they have shown it on the field as well, despite the fact that they got off to a bad start,” Breda added. “Great honor and credit to Frosinone, who should be congratulated, but in my opinion Genoa has important values. We – I repeat – want to play a great game and bring home as many points as possible. We’ll need a great performance, both offensively and defensively and on set-pieces, for and against. Genoa has important numbers, but matches must always be played, only at the end can we say who was better; we have the utmost respect for the opponent but also the desire to do well and determine our future.”
