A serious mistake that compromised his qualifying. In Miami, Leclerc went out at the climax of the Q3 section. The Monegasque, in the post qualifying, did nota seek an apology but took all the blame.
“I could make so many excuses, like the wind. But the wind was there for everyone. The car was very difficult to drive, but I was the one who asked for that kind of setup for qualifying. I knew the potential was there, but it is not acceptable to make the same kind of mistake in FP2 and Q3. I made a mistake, I am very angry with myself,” his words reported by Sky Sports. Leclerc will start from the seventh box on the grid for the Miami GP (9:30 p.m. Italian time).
