Superbike: Bautista and Ducati’s dominance continues
Total domination of Alvaro Bautista and Ducati in Superbike: the Spanish centaur triumphed over the weekend in Barcelona, winning after race 1 and the Superpole Race also race 2 of the Catalan round.
Despite the drop in engine power imposed by Dorna and Sbk organizers, the Iberian rider also dictated his law on the Catalan track, imposing himself ahead of Yamaha’s Turkish centaur Razgatlioglu and the other Ducati rider Rinaldi. Jonathan Rea (Suzuki) was only fifth.
In the overall standings, Bautista (11 out of 12 races won) leads with a sidereal gap over everyone else: Razgatlioglu trails him by 167 points, Rea is only 100 points behind.
