Mimmo Criscito: “Against Bari I will also play on one leg.”

Last year’s missed penalty in the derby against Samp and the North American interlude are behind him: returning to Genoa, Mimmo Criscito has taken his revenge and contributed experience and solidity to the Grifone’s promotion to Serie A. And on the threshold of his last career game, the 36-year-old makes one more promise to the Rossoblù fans.

“I have a calf problem and I am doing everything to recover ahead of Bari,” he told ‘Primo Canale’: I will play even with one leg, if only for two minutes. I want to play in front of my fans for the last time.”

Genoa will face Bari on the last day of the regular season: the “biancorossi” contended until last weekend for second place in the standings, which guaranteed direct promotion, but the Grifone’s success against Ascoli dug the decisive furrow, making the penalty point in the standings irrelevant, among other things.
