Trieste considers appeal
Nailed to its fate by the Brindisi defeat, but also by a super Logan who tore Brescia to pieces in the last quarter dragging Scafati to salvation, Pallacanestro Trieste is considering filing an appeal: the object is the ‘discount’ to the penalty imposed on Pallacanestro Varese, which went from 16 to 11 points, allowing the biancorossi to experience a much less harsh end to the championship, culminating in the Lombardy team’s stay in the top league.
“We will evaluate in the coming days although our lawyers have anticipated that the chances of appeal are not encouraging,” the words of Mario Ghiacci, general manager of the Julian club, reported by Il Piccolo.
