AC Milan are living the eve of the Champions League Euroderby against Inter Milan with not-so-subtle anxiety regarding the condition of Rafael Leao, who suffered a muscle injury during the first minutes of last Saturday’s match against Lazio.

Asked about the possibility of seeing the Portuguese player on the field in the semifinal first leg against Inter, Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli tried to clarify: “He will try to push in training and we will see,” he said, “If he is well he will be in the match, he will be able to play, otherwise he will not even be on the bench.

“Because of the quality and the characteristics of the player, he is someone who has to be 100 percent to be on the field,” added the Milan coach. “However, let’s see, everything is still open: we will decide tomorrow.
