No penalty for Marc Marquez: Honda appeal upheld
The FIM Court of Appeal has annulled the double long lap penalty imposed by the Steward Panel on Marc Marquez for the incident caused by the Spaniard at the start of the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix in Portimao.
Honda’s appeal was therefore upheld, thus holding that since he missed the following Argentine Grand Prix due to the fracture of the metacarpal of his right hand in the crash, it is as if Marquez had served the penalty he was given.
