Reggina, Federal Court of Appeals reduces penalty by 2 points

The Serie B standings change again after the Federal Court of Appeal’s decision to “discount” 2 of the 7 points imposed overall against Reggina.

“The Federal Court of Appeal,” reads the note published Thursday on official Figc channels, “presided over by Mario Luigi Torsello, rejected the complaint filed by Reggina and its legal representative Paolo Castaldi on April 24 regarding the three-point penalty to be served in the Serie B championship, partially accepting the one filed by the same subjects on May 8 against the additional four-point penalty. In total, therefore, the penalty points to be served by the Amaranth club in the current sports season are reduced from seven to five. Reggina was initially given three penalty points last April 17. Subsequently, on May 4, a new penalty of four points had arrived.”

The new Serie B standings:

Frosinone 74
Genoa 70 (-1)
Bari 62
Südtirol 57
Cagliari 54
Parma 54 (-1)
Palermo 48
Reggina 47 (-5)
