Doha Judo World Championships: Alice Bellandi bronze in 78 kg.
Fourth medal for Italy at the World Judo Championships in Doha (a record for the Azzurri) and third for women. It was won by Alice Bellandi, 24, from Brescia, in the 78 kg. category: after succumbing to Israel’s Inbar Lamir, the Azzurra in fact beat Japan’s Shori Tamada, Olympic champion in Tokyo 2021, in the final for third place, thus putting the bronze medal around her neck.
