Curious ending to the evening for Jannik Sinner.
After converting the match point that earned him a pass to the round of 16 of the Internazionali d’Italia, as all the fans on center court cheered, the South Tyrolean turned to fetch his towel and then prepared to serve for the next point.
Realizing that he had miscalculated and thus won, he smiled back toward the net to greet his opponent.
Predictable was the dedication on Mother’s Day, with a “Happy Mother’s Day!” written on camera.
