Torino, Ivan Juric does not forget the past

Ivan Juric speaks out about his connection with Hellas

On the sidelines of his Torino side’s success at home to Hellas Verona, Ivan Juric also spoke in a press conference about his past as the Gialloblù coach, without hiding his ambition for a possible return in an unspecified future.

“To return to Verona one day? Absolutely, it would be a dream,” said the Croatian coach. “Bocchetti, with Zaffaroni, is doing a great job in my opinion, they have a very good points average. I hope Hellas will be saved, the chances are there and I wish them that.”

Juric and Bocchetti shared two years as players at Genoa, while more recently the current member of the Gialloblù’s technical staff was in the Hellas squad coached by Juric in 2019/20: “I asked him to join my staff, I still haven’t forgiven him his ‘no,'” joked the Croatian coach speaking, with a smile, about his friend and colleague.
