Stefano Domenicali points to budget cap to make F1 World Cup more balanced
The start of the 2023 Formula 1 season (but also the second part of the 2022 season) have shown fans and insiders one incontrovertible fact: Red Bull has performed far better than its rival teams, and the efforts of Ferrari and Mercedes so far do not seem to be enough to even approach the Milton Keynes-based team.
Asked about the issue during the ‘Future of The Car Summit’ organized in London by the ‘Financial Times,’ Circus number one Stefano Domenicali, however, is convinced that F1 will see less and less of this kind of domination: “I am sure that what we have done at the level of regulations, with the introduction of the budget cap, will help in the coming seasons to minimize the gap between the teams from a technical point of view,” he said. “This year simply Red Bull has done a better job than others, but I think it is imprudent to give the season already for decided.
