Genoa-Bari: Gilardino’s announcement comes in on Mimmo Criscito
Alberto Gilardino’s words ahead of Genoa-Bari
On the eve of the match with Bari, Genoa coach Alberto Gilardino, during the pre-match press conference, among other topics, spoke about the condition of Mimmo Criscito, who will play his last game with the Rossoblù.
“Mimmo has not yet fully recovered from his injury. He will be with us on the bench and I will evaluate as the game progresses. We know that it will be his last match of his career, and my will is to give him one last piece of the match. He has given so much for these colors and for Italian soccer. He deserves a glorious end in front of his public,” the coach of the Rossoblù said about his captain.
“In front of our fans we have to finish in the best way with the humility and spirit of sacrifice put throughout the championship. For my part, there is some regret for the end of the season because I have experienced incredible emotions in this short time at Genoa. We have done something extraordinary that will remain in history and for me it is a source of pride. These are feelings that I will carry with me for the rest of my life,” added Alberto Gilardino.
