Charles Leclerc resigned: ‘Red Bull’s pace is double that of Ferrari’
Very stern and resigned words on the weekend when the Imola event was skipped.
Charles Leclerc seems to have surrendered to a Ferrari lagging far behind Red Bull. This is evidenced by an analysis of his, quoted by ‘RacingNews365,’ in which the Monegasque stresses not only the problems of the Prancing Horse Reds but also the fact that this does not come as a surprise to him.
“Honestly, Ferrari is exactly where we expected it to be,” stressed a resigned Leclerc. “So I can’t say that a bad job was done or that expectations were not met. Unfortunately at the pace level Red Bull is going twice as fast as we are. The problem, therefore, lies more in the goals we set.”
“However, we have understood some aspects that should improve in the future,” Leclerc added, “This gives me confidence, and it also helps me understand why we are in this situation. I am confident, maybe not in the short term, but we will make up for it. I’m sure we will. Now, however, the distance to Red Bull is important, so I don’t want to give timelines.”
