Napoli, the party continues against Inter: 3-1 at the Maradona
The Scudetto party continues, the Champions race could get complicated.
Napoli still celebrates the champions of Italy, who at the Maradona Stadium beat Inter 3-1 in a challenge that flares up only in the last half hour. In fact, the four goals all came from the 67′ onwards and punished the Nerazzurri who, net of the Champions League final won in the derby against Milan, remain just two points ahead of the fifth-ranked Rossoneri and +5 from sixth-ranked Atalanta.
Napoli started off immediately with a great pace, and frightened Onana twice with Anguissa in the first quarter of an hour. The one who betrayed Simone Inzaghi’s trust, however, was Gagliardini, who was cautioned twice in forty minutes (his interventions on Di Lorenzo first and Anguissa himself later were harsh), leaving Inter in a numerical inferiority for more than a half. Before halftime, then, chances were also registered by Osimhen on one side and Lukaku on the other.
The resumption opened with an even more volatile Napoli and dangerous from the spot with Di Lorenzo and Zielinski. Only Gosens tried to react for Inter, who fell in the 67th minute on the first-intention shot of the excellent Anguissa, caught by Zielinski. In the final then everything happens: in the 82nd minute Lukaku equalizes on great work by Dimarco on the flank, but in the 85th minute Di Lorenzo from the distance puts the hosts back in the lead. In the 94th minute also came the signature of Gaetano, launched on a counterattack by Simeone.
