Former German tennis player Boris Becker in an interview with the Guardian spoke about the change of hierarchies taking place in world tennis: “The changing of the guard is already taking place, and the proof is Carlos Alcaraz world number 1 after winning the US Open last year.”

Another up-and-coming tennis player like Emma Raducanu, on the other hand, is in a major crisis: “I’m afraid that the operations she has undergone will jeopardize her career.
