In its first season without capacity limitations in the arenas after two years marked by pandemic, the UnipolSai A Series closes with an average of 3,764 spectators and 50,363 euros in box office.

The overall attendance figure is the result of a first-round that averaged 3,570 spectators and a sharply rising second-round that nears 4,000, standing at 3,959.

“The figure for this regular season is encouraging,” says Basketball League President Umberto Gandini, “and rewards the Serie A clubs that, after having sustained huge efforts to ensure the championship was played during the pandemic emergency, have worked well in recent months to bring the public back to the arenas to enjoy live a show that, even this season, has provided uncertainty and balance until the last day.

EA7 Emporio Armani Milano leads the attendance ranking with 7,818 average spectators, followed by Virtus Segafredo Bologna with 5,629.

There are 3 clubs at and above 4,000: these are Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro with 4,810 spectators, Openjobmetis Varese with 4,456 and Tezenis Verona with 4,000.

Umana Reyer Venezia’s fill rate touches 90 percent and is the highest in Serie A , with Varese coming in second with 87 percent.

Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro’s match fill percentage at Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro, which reaches 74%, includes the capacity with which 13 home matches were played (5,874) and the 2 matches with Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Bertram Yachts Tortona: on these two occasions the capacity was enlarged to 10,323.
