Giro d’Italia, Jonathan Milan has one thought in mind
“The cyclamen jersey? I want to hold on to it as long as possible.”
The new name in blue cycling is called Jonathan Milan. In his first Giro d’Italia, the 22-year-old blue hopeful is surprising everyone. He is currently in the cyclamen jersey and has no intention of letting go of it.
“The cyclamen jersey? I want to hold on to it as long as possible. It was a goal to make it to the first rest day, now we are here on the second: I live for the day, trying to grab as many points as I can to defend it in the best way,” his words to Corriere dello Sport. A great sprinter, Jonathan Milan is enjoying the moment: “It makes me very happy that so many children ask for my photo or autograph, because I see myself again a few years ago, when I used to go to see the Giro near my home and hunt for a water bottle.”
