Mercedes, Toto Wolff announces turnaround

Mercedes boss Toto Wolff spoke ahead of Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo: “Monaco is a unique and atypical event, but it will still be an opportunity to learn about the W14 upgrades, but we must also be careful not to draw too many conclusions from this event. We are introducing the first step in a new direction of development.”

“There is no magic wand in F1, from experience I know that in this sport there are no updates that can overturn the values on the field. We hope it will give the drivers a car that is more stable and predictable as a whole. Then we can build on it in the weeks and months ahead. There is a meritocracy in F1. We’re not where we want to be, we just have to work hard to get back to the top.”
