WTA Rabat: Bronzetti and Trevisan in the quarters
Lucia Bronzetti and Martina Trevisan qualified for the quarterfinals of the WTA Rabat. On Moroccan clay, the Romagnola at the end of a nearly three-hour battle beat German Tatjana Maria in a comeback with a score of 6-7 6-4 7-6 and will now face the winner between U.S. Alycia Parks, the number 4 seed, and Russian Kamilla Rakhimova.
The Tuscan, who is the tournament’s defending champion and No. 1 seeded favorite, instead got the better of Croatian Jana Fett with a double 7-5 but in two and a half hours. Trevisan will now face Austrian Julia Grabher.
