F1, Gp Monte Carlo: Red Bull dominance in FP3, Mercedes bad
GP Monaco: Verstappen also takes FP3, Leclerc only seventh
After setting the fastest time in FP2 of the Monte Carlo GP, Max Verstappen repeated himself in the third free practice session as well. The Red Bull world champion set his fastest lap in 1:12.776, mocking teammate Sergio Perez by 73 thousandths and Lance Stroll by 166 thousandths. Step back for the Ferraris who set the fourth fastest time with Carlos Sainz and the seventh with Charles Leclerc.
Session to forget for Mercedes, with Lewis Hamilton not going beyond the eighth time. In addition, the British driver was involved in an accident in the finale that caused a red flag and may have damaged his W14 ahead of qualifying. Again outside the top 10 is George Russell, who does not go beyond 11th place.
