Colombo saves Lecce in 101′, Osimhen not enough in Bologna
Monza-Lecce 0-1 and Bologna-Napoli 2-2
On the Sunday afternoon of the penultimate day of Serie A, Lecce won salvation by conquering the Monza field thanks to a penalty scored by Colombo in the 101′. A double by Osimhen was not enough for Napoli to bring down Bologna: Ferguson and De Silvestri signed the comeback for the Rossoblù.
Anything happens in the final in Monza: in the 81st minute the Brianzoli win a penalty kick for a foul by Baschirotto on Colpani. On the penalty spot comes Gytkjaer who gets hypnotized by Falcone. The same Danish striker in the 100th minute commits a hand foul in the box, conceding a penalty for the Salentini. From the eleven meters goes Colombo who kicks centrally, beating Di Gregorio and giving salvation to the Giallorossi.
Napoli did not need a super Osimhen to overcome Bologna. The Nigerian striker signed the lead for the guests in the 14th minute, taking advantage of a gross error by Skorupski. In the second half, the Serie A’s top scorer stamps his 25th personal goal in the league, which is worth the double for the guests. A few minutes later, however, Ferguson shortened the gap with a tap-in after Gollini’s rebound on a shot by Sansone. In the 84th minute De Silvestri found the equalizer with a header off a corner by Sansone.
In the standings, Lecce moves up to 36 and is arithmetically safe, while Monza remains stuck in 10th place, on 52 points. Napoli rises to 87, Bologna to 51, -2 from eighth place.
