Jannik Sinner, on the immediate eve of the first round of Roland Garros, dedicated a few words to Matteo Berrettini, who was absent in Paris and has been out of action for several weeks due to physical problems, which convinced him to aim directly for the season on grass.
“Everyone misses Matteo,” Sinner told ‘SuperTennis,’ “his presence in tournaments is felt. However, I think he has a strong mentality, I’m sure he will be back to top form.”
Even without Berrettini, there are still nine Italian athletes in the main draw of the French Slam: “We have a great group, we are all different and that’s the great thing,” said the South Tyrolean.
