Napoli, Luciano Spalletti responds to De Laurentiis
Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti spoke to DAZN microphones after the 2-2 draw against Bologna, responding among other things to what President Aurelio De Laurentiis had said about what it means to coach the Neapolitan team.
“When others have the ball then everything becomes more difficult, especially for what are the qualities of my team. I asked for a cleaner game, although then we had several situations to close the game earlier. There was the comeback of Bologna, a very good team coached very well.”
“Kvaratskhelia? The more I see him, the more I like him. I am convinced he is very strong. Clearly, then if they press us it becomes difficult to spread out on the outsides. You have to help by shortening on the players. I wanted him to come down more to call the ball, he has the ability.”
“I am left with so many things from these two years. To build a championship like this you need the participation of all components. The feeling of the city is what makes the difference, motivates and gives quality. It lifts you up when you are a little depressed.”
“De Laurentiis said that coaching Napoli is a privilege? I do not comment on what the president’s words are, I am mentally organized in celebrating with the people and my players. Osimhen? He is very strong, he will have an important future in any team he can play. This is a great guy, he takes away the quarrels from his teammates. He doesn’t dispute them, but he solves team situations. He still has many things to learn, he will become even much stronger.”
