Positive debut in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament for Matteo Arnaldi. The 22-year-old San Remo native, world number 105, made it through the first round of the men’s singles at Roland Garrosn by beating Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan in nearly two hours and 20 minutes with a score of 2-6 6-3 6-0 6-2. Arnaldi now awaits the winner between Brandon Nakashima of the United States and Canadian Denis Shapovalov.
