Fabio Fognini corrects his shot

Fabio Fognini backtracks and, after talking about “Last Roland Garros” in the minutes following his feat on Monday against top-10 Felix Auger-Aliassime, admits that he has not yet made any decision regarding his future.

“I haven’t decided yet, don’t worry,” the Ligurian tennis player, class of 1987, told ‘Eurosport.’ Of course, it can be one of the last but I hope it is not actually.”

Fognini, who is currently No. 130 in the world, beat Auger-Aliassime, No. 10 in the ATP rankings, 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 after two hours and eighteen minutes of play on Monday. Awaiting him in the second round is Australian Jason Kubler, who occupies the 69th position in the world rankings and made it through the first round by beating Facundo Diaz Acosta in five sets.
