MotoGP, Aprilia dominance in the first free practice of Montmelò

È l’Aprilia to dominate the first free practice of the Catalan Grand Prix MotoGP class at the Montmelò circuit. In fact, Spaniard Aleix Espargaro set the best time in 1’39”809 with 264 thousandths of a second ahead of teammate and compatriot Maverick Vinales.

Third place at 464 thousandths for another Spaniard Jorge Martin on the Ducati Pramac, fourth was KTM’s South African Brad Binder, and fifth at 1”091 was Francesco Bagnaia, the reigning world champion and world championship leader on his factory Ducati. Among others, ninth was Yamaha’s Frenchman Fabio Quartararo, sixteenth was Marco Bezzecchi, fresh from his renewal with Valentino Rossi’s Ducati team, and twenty-first and second-to-last was Honda’s Spaniard Marc Marquez.
