Bagnaia crash, Fabio Quartararo raises his voice
After the accident that froze Montmelò, comes the controversy of one of the protagonists on the track.
Pecco Bagnaia is okay after the disastrous accident involving his Ducati at the second corner of the first lap of the Catalan Grand Prix. The dynamics of the events, with Brad Binder’s KTM running over his leg, però scared everyone. Those who were in front of the TV, but especially the other MotoGP riders. And precisely one of them pointed this out with angry words: Fabio Quartararo.
The Frenchman of Yamaha è was Bagnaia’s great rival in the 2022 title race, and in Montmelò was following him by a few meters at the time of his fall. "I almost ran him over,” Quartararo stressed at the end of the day. “I saw the flight he made, and I saw very well the way he è fell. These situations happen, but what has to change is è the fact that we are forced to review replays of these falls over and over again when we return to the pits".
"If I have to be frank, it seems to me to be an incomprehensible choice,” thundered Quartararo. “They should not be showing such crashes on repeat. Both for us, and for the families of the riders. Maybe for us è different, becauseé we are a little bit; more accustomed. I try però to put myself in the shoes of Bagnaia’s parents, or anyone else".
"Having to see those images again and again, with your child or relative getting hurt, è heavy", concluded Quartararo.
