MotoGp Misano, VR46: Luca Marini knows what he needs

He expected a little more from himself Luca Marini on Saturday in Misano: Valentino Rossi’s brother finished the Sprint race in seventh place, four positions behind his teammate at the Mooney VR46 Racing Team, Marco Bezzecchi.

At the start I gave my all, I was in battle with many strong riders and I can only be satisfied, on the one hand, with my performance and driving sensations".

"I pushed the first few laps and then set a good pace throughout the race – added the 26-year-old rider, later explaining that he knows what he needs on Sunday -. Unfortunately, I paid dearly for the mistake in qualifying and tomorrow will be a similar race. On this track you do not need to manage the tire, everyone will go to the maximum and I hope to recover a few positions.

Marini è seventh also in the overall MotoGp 2023 World Championship standings, with 128 points to his credit: his closest rivals are Johann Zarco, sixth at 137, and Maverick Viñales, who has collected 117 points in the standings so far in the season.
