The other match in Group C, that of Italy, also ended in a draw: in fact, England did not get past Ukraine, even finding themselves coming back from a goal scored by Zinchenko on 26'. By Walker the equalizing goal, at 41' it will end 1-1.

Saturday evening è was marked by as many as five draws: in addition to the two matches that ended 1-1 in Italy's group, Andorra-Belarus (0-0), Kosovo-Switzerland (2-2, Freuler and Rrahmani’s own goal for the Helvetians, Muruqi’s brace for the hosts) and Romania-Israel (1-1, Gloukh responding to Alibec, who had put the Romanians ahead) also ended in draws.

There were two successes: Sweden's sweeping victory over Estonia (5-0, scored by Gyokeres, Kulusevski, Isak, Quaison and Claesson) and Belgium's narrow victory over Azerbaijan (1-0, scored by Carrasco).

Qualification for Euro 204 continues on Sunday: Kazakhstan-Northern Ireland, Faroe Islands-Moldavia, Finland-Denmark, Montenegro-Bulgaria, Albania-Poland, Greece-Gibraltar, Ireland-Netherlands, Lithuania-Serbia and San Marino-Slovenia are to be played.
