Pavel Sivakov wins the centennial Tour of Tuscany
Russian naturalized French rider Pavel Sivakov, of the Ineos Grenadiers, won the centenary edition of the Tour of Tuscany, 192 km with start and finish in Pontedera, sprinting on a horseback 1500 meters from the finish, where he è arrived all alone.
Second at 4 seconds was Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz, third at 45 seconds was Austrian Felix Grossschartner, and fourth at 1’28” was Slovenian Tadej Pogacar, who had gone into a breakaway together with the first three finishers along the second ascent to Monte Serra.
However, at the top Sivakov went away and on the descent only Carapaz managed to catch him, finally the Franco-Russian’s finisseur shot.
