Milan, for Pierre Kalulu the trouble is serious
Muscle injury for Pierre Kalulu
Milan will have to do without Pierre Kalulu certainly for the derby against Inter and for the season opener in the Champions League against Newcastle, but in all probability he will miss several other matches: this is what emerges from the response of the instrumental examinations to which the Rossoneri defensive joker underwent on Thursday. in fact, the MRI showed a small injury of the rectus femoris muscle of the left thigh.
The timetable for his return to the field foresees new examinations to be carried out in about ten days: in addition to Inter-Milan and Milan-Newcastle, therefore, Kalulu will miss the league challenges against Hellas Verona and Cagliari, and is at high risk for another big match, the one on September 30 against Lazio.
In his place, coach Stefano Pioli is expected to give confidence to Simon Kjaer, who started his fifth season in the Rossoneri by taking the field in the final stages of the matches won against Bologna and Torino. Alongside him in the derby, in the center of the defense, there will most likely be Malick Thiaw, given the absence of the disqualified Fikayo Tomori.
The rossonerazzurri challenge will be played, with Inter formally at home, on Saturday, Sept. 16, with kickoff at 6 p.m. To referee it a Milanese whistler, 36-year-old Simone Sozza: a possible choice, by the designator, thanks to the removal of territorial limits for match directions.
