Lewis Hamilton is lapidary: “There is much to be done.”
Lewis Hamilton’s words after FP2
After finishing 14th in FP2, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton è expressed himself bluntly about the difficult Friday free practice session and his feelings ahead of the continuation of the weekend in Japan.
"It's been a very challenging Friday. I had no feeling with the W14 and that led to a performance on the track that was not up to the mark. Difficult to find the limit and we couldn't solve our problems in FP2 here in Suzuka" began the British driver to the microphones of "Sky Sport F1".
"The tires got too hot and that did not allow us to be as fast as we wanted. We know there's a lot to do tonight to improve, but we know where to take action. We have already had similar days this season and on Saturday we were able to increase our potential. We hope we can do that here as well" added Lewis Hamilton.
