Lorenzo Musetti to the quarters after a three-hour battle

Lorenzo Musetti won in the opener of the Atp 250 tournament in Chengdu, China. The Carrara-based tennis player bent Philip Sekulic in three sets with a score  of 7-6, 6-6, 6-0 after three hours and è qualified to the quarterfinals.

Musetti è returned to smiles after defeats at the Us Open in the first round and in the Davis Cup, but he had to suffer to get the better of the Australian, No. 325 in the Atp rankings.

The first two sets were resolved only at the tie-break, while in the third the opponent could not hold the level of the Azure and dropped sharply, surrendering 6-0.

Musetti in the quarterfinals will challenge Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech.
