Reggiana’s outside shot closes out Serie B Saturday
Serie B, day six: results of Saturday’s matches
With a brace from Cedric Gondo, whose goals at 50' and 81' were decisive in the final 2-1 in favor of the Emilians, Reggiana beat Spezia in the last match of Saturday's Serie B. The goal by Francesco Pio Esposito, who shortened the gap in the fifth minute of recovery, was useless.
The day had begun with Pisa’s success over FeralpiSalò 1-0 (decisive goal by Canestrelli at 67') and as many as four draws: Brescia-Venezia and Modena-Lecco ended 0-0, Cremonese and Ascoli drew 2-2 (two goals by Coda, in goal on 13' and 60' for the grigiorossi, goals by Manzari on 25' and Rodriguez at 88' for the bianconeri), while Sudtirol reached Ternana on 1-1 at 94' thanks to a penalty by Casiraghi, useful to equalize Casasola's red-green goal at 22'.
Three matches are scheduled for Sunday: Bari-Catanzaro, Cittadella-Como and Parma-Sampdoria. In the standings it is the Parmesans who lead, with 13 points, followed by Venezia’s 12 (one game more) and Modena’s 11. At the bottom three teams are one point behind: Lecco (three games played), Spezia (played five times) and FeralpiSalò.
