NBA, surprise destination for Damian Lillard
After 11 seasons, Lillard asked to leave Portland
One of the soap operas of the summer is reportedly coming to an end. As reported by ESPN, Lillard’s future could be in Toronto. The Raptors would, in fact, be one step closer to reaching an agreement with Portland to get Lillard in exchange for two-time All Star Siakam, 2022 NBA Rookie of the Year Barnes, Anunoby and Dick.
Lillard, in truth, had asked to play in Miami, a franchise where he believes he can fight for that NBA title he has been seeking since joining the NBA, but, at this point, the Toronto solution seems the most feasible.
In addition to the Toronto Raptors, many other franchises have shown interest in the 1990 class all-star. Specifically, the franchises interested would be Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers and Chicago Bulls. The deadline è set for next October 2. Toronto is in a hurry to finalize the trade. Of course, the question is whether or not Lillard is happy to go play with the Raptors.
