Edgar Paez, president of Tigres, a Colombian second division team, è was shot dead just hours after his team’s home loss to Atletico.
According to local media reports, the man was on his way home with his daughter when è he was shot by two men on a motorcycle near the Metropolitano Stadium in Bogotà.
“The Colombian Football Federation and its Executive Committee mourn the passing of Mr. Édgar Paez, president of Tigres FC Club. We express our condolences and stand by his family, friends and loved ones in their grief. Rest in peace” reads a note released a few hours after the tragic event.
Paez was 63 years old.
