Sassuolo’s kickback, Inter knocked out
After five consecutive victories Inter's positive streak is interrupted as it stumbles at the San Siro against Sassuolo. 2-1 was the final result: Bajrami and Berardi scored for the neroverdi, Dumfries’ initial goal was useless.
Inter è got off to a strong start with Nicolò Barella coming close to scoring on 2' then Martin Erlic tried a header. The two formations faced each other head-on and the goal that unlocked the match è came on 45: percussion by Dumfries in the Sassuolo area and a precise left in the corner to Consigli's right.
In the second half Dionisi replaced Matías Vina with Marcus Pedersen and Sassuolo found the equalizer in the 54' minute with a Nedim Bajrami shot that mocked Yann Sommer. Ten minutes later è came the second goal for the neroverdi with a great shot by Domenico Berardi from outside the box.
Simone Inzaghi’s team è poured forward in the last minutes but, despite their efforts, did not è manage to equalize.
