Fabio Corbani asks his people for more effort

The Happy Casa Brindisi is playing these days the Qualification Round that, to the winning teams, will guarantee the pass to participate in the 2023-24 edition of the Basketball Champions League, the continental competition organized by FIBA Europe.

Fabio Corbani, on the eve of the semifinal round against the Heroes of Den Bosch (scheduled for Friday), a Dutch club, is asking his team for an extra effort after the narrow success against CSM Oradea (77-74): "The boys have earned this semifinal – said the White and Blue coach to the official channels of the companyà -, playing a game for large stretches of high level, then suffering a physical and mental decline for a few minutes, offset by an’excellent final reaction".

"We will challenge a team that showed a good attitude last night,” he added, “it will be an interesting match in which the quality of individuals can emerge thanks to the good offensive traces that will be shown on the court. We are motivated, calm and compact".

The Basketball Champions League è was born in 2016 on the initiative of FIBA Europe: Baskets Bonn è defending champions, having won the 2022-23 final 77-70 against Hapoel Jerusalem. In the roll of honors of the seven editions of the tournament there's also an Italian club, Virtus Bologna, which won the title in 2019 by beating Tenerife 73-61.
