Anemos II launches new challenge

The challenge of Anemos II, the Farr 80 that has been wearing the Allianz colors for the past five years, sponsor of the initiative wanted to allow the Group’s Trieste employees to participate as a team in the great celebration of the sea and the Autumn Cup, scheduled in Trieste from October 1 to 8, 2023, is confirmed again this year at Barcolana55. 

More than a hundred employees of the Company will take turns in the nine outings scheduled during the week, including seven training sessions and two regattas, Sunday, October 1 for the Bernetti Trophy and Sunday, October 8 for Barcolana55. 

On the strength of a second place in the category obtained last year, at the helm of Anemos II Allianz is reconfirmed the duo Alice Linussi and Guglielmo Danelon, who will alternate in the role of tactician and helmsman during the week, which will begin with the Bernetti Trophy (52nd edition), a compulsory stage for fine-tuning crews and means and studying opponents closely, but also for those who participate for the pleasure of racing on such a fascinating course. To follow, on Sunday, October 8, the highlight of the great “celebration of the sea” with Barcolana55 to challenge owner Wendy Schmidt who last year, at the helm of her Deep Blue, won the Autumn Cup. Schmidt, by far the first woman to win the regatta, è was also awarded the Women in Sailing trophy, won in 2021 by the young Trieste-born Alice Linussi herself on Anemos II Allianz.
