Fils or Medjedovic in the footsteps of Jannik Sinner

The Next Gen Final

Arthur Fils and Hamad Medjedovic have a chance to join Top 10 players Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Stefanos Tsitsipas among the champions on the roll of honor at the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by NEOM. In the first edition played at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Frenchman and the Serb will compete at 6 p.m. Italian time.The final of the first event under the ATP aegis ever played in Saudi Arabia will be broadcast live on Supertennis and SuperTenniX.

Separated by 74 positions in the ATP rankings, Fils and Medjedovic come undefeated to the final. On the season, the Frenchman has won 19 matches on the ATP circuit and celebrated his first title in Lyon. Medjedovic, on the other hand, has won three Challengers and hit two semifinals on the major circuit, in Gstaad and Astana.

"We have known each other for a long time,” said the Frenchman, world number 36. “We met as juniors, I know Hamad has an incredible serve. The fastest in the tournament. It will not be an easy match at all. I am convinced that he will beà one of the protagonists of the new generation of the Tour, but hopefully not tomorrow".

" I think it will be a great match. Arthur è a very good player and a friend of mine. I am looking forward to facing him tomorrow,” Medjedovic said.
