Holger Rune directed: "I don’t need Jannik Sinner and Alcaraz…"

Holger Rune è considered the third great rising star in world tennis after Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The Danish tennis player in an interview with the podcast "Advantage Connors" said that it is not forò the two rivals that motivate him.

"È really nice to be part of this group, they are doing really well. Jannik Sinner had a phenomenal season and Carlos Alcaraz won Wimbledon", Rune admitted.

"But honestly I already have motivation inside me, I don’t need them or other players to give me motivation. If Sinner wins a tournament or loses in the first round, I wish him the best, but itò does not affect my motivation to win", assured the Dane, who is ready to return to the fray next season after a complicated final 2023.

Rune also commented on his matches with Djokovic: "When I take the court I firmly believe in my abilities". I respect my opponent, but I will never be afraid of him. When they tell me that I am playing against someone who has 25 Slams, è clearly I don’t think about it because é it seems impossible to defeat him. I know that è the best, but even the best canò be defeated".
