Rafael Nadal unveils his hope for comeback

After nearly a year in the pits due to numerous physical problems, Rafael Nadal has announced his return to the court at the Brisbane ATP 250, scheduled for Dec. 31 to Jan. 7. With just under a month before his return to the circuit, the Spanish star wanted to express his feelings through a video message on "X".

"I was afraid to announce my comeback after a year without meetings and a hip surgery. What worries me is not è the hip, but everything else. I think I am ready and I hope things go well and I have the opportunity to have fun on the court. I don&#39t expect anything, that&#39s the truth,&#39quot; began the 37-year-old Spaniard.

"I think I am in a very delicate moment, in a different situation and in uncharted ground. It's been a long time, so I hope first of all to resent the feelings of the past. I have always demanded the most from myself, but right now I don&#39t have to do as much" added the Manacor native.

"He will have to accept that things will be very difficult at the beginning, he will have to give me the necessary time and forgive me if things go wrong in the first few months, which è is very possible. Knowing, however, that there might be a not too distant future when things might change if my physique responds in the right way" said Rafael Nadal.
