Sudtirol, Pierpaolo Bisoli’s exoneration made official
Official: Pierpaolo Bisoli no longer è the coach of Sudtirol
Skip the tenth bench in Serie B 2023-2024. Sudtirol, in fact, through a statement on its official profiles, announced the exoneration of Pierpaolo Bisoli, who pays dearly for the four losses suffered in the last five outings. In his place è was promoted the coach of the Primavera team of the South Tyrolean club Federico Valente.
"FC Sudtirol announces that it has relieved Pierpaolo Bisoli from the position of first team coach with immediate effect. The club thanks Mr. Bisoli for his passion and dedication to work, as well as for the results achieved at the helm of the red and white team in the 2022-2023 season and wishes the coach the best professional fortunes for the continuation of his career" this is the note issued by the South Tyrolean club.
"FC Südtirol announces that it has entrusted the technical leadership of the first team to Federico Valente, who last summer had taken over as coach of the red and white Primavera 2 formation, reaping excellent results so far as a freshman.
The coach è was born on July 20, 1975 in Solothurn, Switzerland, but è is an Italian citizen, by virtue of his parents’ origins. A former professional goalkeeper, during his competitive career he played for several Swiss teams, including FC Thun and FC Wohlen. Among the most important experiences as a head coach he boasts from 2021 and until the end of last season the leadership of the Under-19 team of SC Freiburg. With the same club from 2018 to 2021 he led the Under 17 and in the previous season the Under 16 team.
Starting in 2013, he coached in the youth sector of FC Zurich. In the summer of 2017, he won the national championship with the U16 team. He also boasts match analyst experience, also with FC Zurich, in the Swiss first and second divisions. He has worked with coaches Urs Meier, Massimo Rizzo, Uli Forte and Sami Hyypiä. He earned his Uefa A license in 2012, while he is now on the path to acquire the Uefa Pro title. He boasts, among other training courses: Uefa A Youth Diplom (2016) and BTA Swiss Olympic (2017).
