Frederic Vasseur unveils key to beating Max Verstappen
The 2023 F1 season è was marked by the unchallenged dominance of Red Bull and Max Verstappen, who won 21 of the 22 races held. The only blemish è came on the Singapore weekend, where, accomplice to the difficulties of the two drivers of the Milton Keynes stable, to triumph è was the Ferrari of Carlos Sainz. During an intervention at the microphones of "GPblog", the team principal of the Prancing Horse Frederic Vasseur wanted to try to identify some aspects that could put in difficulty the Dutch driver of Red Bull in 2024.
"The "The only problem for us è that, like everyone else, we made mistakes when we were under pressure. This season no one è managed to put pressure on Max, except us, in the last two or three events. With the exception of Singapore with Carlos, where Verstappen made a few mistakes, aided by a Red Bull set-up that è proved uncompetitive that weekend. Looking ahead to 2024, we will have to try to be closer to him to hope to put him in a difficult position.
Ferrari’s team principal began.
"Max has had an outstanding season. He struggled with Checo in the first two or three races, then he è proved himself to be on another planet and clearly did not make any mistakes, helped by the clear superiority of Red Bull. I think that when he struggled in qualifying in Jeddah it was because of a mechanical problem, then he è always been the one in front making good starts without contact, except in Las Vegas, where he took a five-second penalty for pushing Leclerc" outside in Turn 1, added Frederic Vasseur.”
