Antonio Conte, Angelo Alessio does not rule out a surprise choice
Angelo Alessio does not rule out any possibility for the future of Antonio Conte
Stationary since his farewell to Tottenham, which took place in the spring of 2023, Antonio Conte has not yet found a bench on which to resume his career, althoughé at the market level his name is always among the first on the list when a top club è in crisis with its coach (è it happened, for example, with Napoli, which then chose Walter Mazzarri, and to a lesser extent with Milan, which instead confirmed confidence in Stefano Pioli).
In this sense, Angelo Alessio, Conte’s historical collaborator (è he was his deputy at Siena, Juventus, the national team and Chelsea), did not mince words and did not rule out resounding surprises: "Whoever hires him – he told 'Tuttosport' – makes a bargain. He has said several times this year that he will stay put, but in the summer he will sit at the table with whoever is looking for him. He's an extraordinary coach".
Just talking about the Milan hypothesis, Alessio explained that despite his past at Juventus and Inter, there would be no problems, but "we need to understand well how foreign properties think in terms of investments and objectives. He certainly è a great professional and has always said it over the years that he would not preclude before a major project. As è went to’Inter he could accept Milan or go elsewhere".
Conte, born in 1969, è is one of the most successful coaches of this historical-sporting period: in fact, he boasts six national titles (five Scudetti, one Premier League), two Italian Super Cups, one FA Cup and also a Serie B championship, in addition to countless individual awards he has won thanks to his successes on the bench.
