Stefano Pioli’s words ahead of Newcastle-Milan

AC Milan is about to face the first crossroads of the season. The Rossoneri and Stefano Pioli are obliged to win against Newcastle on the final day of the Champions League group stage to stay in Europe. Should PSG simultaneously defeat Borussia Dortmund, however, the Diavolo would center qualification for the round of 16. On the eve of the delicate match, the coach of the meneghini è expressed himself in no uncertain terms to the microphones of "Milan TV".

"For us è like a final. It's the first real crossroads of the season. Staying in Europe è is our goal and we have a chance; which è is to win without looking at others. We are focused on that, so surely the team&#39s motivation, focus, concentration and determination will be at their maximum" began the Rossoneri coach.

"Newcastle è one of the opponents that changes the most in attitude, intensity, energy and quality of performance between home and away matches. At home they have lost only twice: to Borussia in the Champions League and to Liverpool in the Premier. We expect a hot environment, an intense, energetic and physical opponent in the approach to the match. We have to be good at taking the field with the right attitude. Such matches require a high level performance" continued the former Lazio coach.

"Immediately after the draw, Tomori, Pulisic and Loftus-Cheek always said that St James' Park è one of the hottest stadiums in the Premier League. We have prepared the match in the right way, we have analyzed certain situations and we know how they will aproach the game. We have a great chance and we will do everything to bring home the three points and stay in Europe" concluded Stefano Pioli.
