Newcastle-Milan, the probable formations

Newcastle and Milan face each other on the final day of the Champions League group stage. Kickoff at 9 p.m. at Saint James' Park. To clinch qualification to the round of 16, the Rossoneri must beat the English and simultaneously hope for a Borussia Dortmund success over Psg in the other Group F match. The same goes for the Magpies. In case of a draw, to go to the Europa League would be Newcastle, by virtue of a better goal difference.

Howe must do without big former Sandro Tonali, who is disqualified. Problems also in goal, with Pope out and Duvrabka not at his best: it should be Karius’ turn. In midfield, a ballot between Longstaff and Miley, while in attack Gordon è favored over Wilson, with Isak and Almiron completing the trident.

Pioli recovers Leao and Okafor in attack: the former will start, with Giroud and Pulisic, while the latter will go on the bench. In midfield, Reijnders in the box, with Loftus-Cheek and Musah on either side of him. Obligatory choices in defense with Theo Hernandez still central, alongside Tomori.

Probable lineups

NEWCASTLE (4-3-3): Karius; Trippier, Lascelles, Schär, Livramento; Miley, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Almiron, Isak, Gordon. All. Howe.

MILAN (4-3-3): Maignan; Calabria, Tomori, Theo Hernandez, Florenzi; Loftus-Cheek, Reijnders, Musah; Pulisic, Giroud, Leao. All. Pioli.
